At the beginning of March, we started a point system to encourage our children to be more responsible and to teach them good habits. They can earn points for things like: basic chores (washing dishes, taking out the trash, vacuuming, etc.), tidying their bedrooms and bathroom, wearing their masks at school, brushing their teeth, and even reading an entire chapter book. Whoever has the most points over the required amount at the end of the month gets to choose a fun activity for the family to do together, within a $200 budget.
My 8-year-old son, Tristan, was the first/March winner! He chose the Get Air Trampoline Park in Savannah, followed by Huddle House closer to home for a late lunch/early dinner. We had such a fun time together as a family!
